The film stars Donnie Yen Ji-dan (甄子丹) as Chen Zhen (陳真), a role made famous by Bruce Lee Siu-lung (李振藩) in the 1972 film Fist of Fury. The film is a sequel to the 1994 film Fist of Legend, which starred Jet Li Lin-kit (李连杰) as Chen Zhen.<br/><br/>The Japanese army occupy Shanghai and slowly start spreading terror in the city. Chen Zhen, who was presumed dead, returns as masked avenger to fight against the Japanese and put an end to their tyrannical rule.
