Fourteen people were rescued by the world's largest cruise ship after they were left stranded at sea for eight days<br/><br/>The Icon of the Seas made the rescue on March 3rd, its first full day of cruising while on the way to Miami, Florida, USA, from Honduras.<br/><br/>The ship deployed a life raft and conducted the rescue operation, which took about two hours.<br/><br/>According to passengers, the life raft had to take multiple trips to safely bring the 14 people on board. <br/><br/>Icon of the Seas, operated by cruise company Royal Caribbean, can house 5,610 guests and 2,350 staff. <br/><br/>The whopping ship has seven swimming pools, 2,800 guest cabins and 20 decks.
