On this week’s show, The YP’s football writers Stuart Rayner and Leon Wobschall, join host Mark Singleton to discuss the latest issues surrounding the Yorkshire football scene.<br/><br/>They start at the New York Stadium and what needs to happen next at Rotherham United after relegation after just two seasons in the Championship was confirmed and how they avoid being a yo-yo club between the second and third tiers of the English game. <br/><br/>Sheffield United remain near-certainties to go straight back down to the Championship but it seems they are going down fighting, putting in a battling performance in a 3-1 defeat at Liverpool before snatching a point in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea. <br/><br/>Huddersfield took one step forward and two steps back, following up a 1-0 win over Millwall with a 4-1 hammering on the road at Preston – do they have what it takes to beat the drop? Likewise Sheffield Wednesday who fought back to grab a 2-2 draw against Norwich City following on from a 2-0 win over QPR – do they have what it takes to beat the drop?<br/><br/>And, at the other end of the Championship table, Leeds United fell to their first league defeat of 2024 at possibly the worse time, their chances of automatic promotion not helped much later in the week when they were held 0-0 at home by Sunderland. _sheffield-market-traders-have-demanded-that-39long-standing-issues39-within-the-market-be-fixed-ahead-of-a-proposed-rate.webp "Traders at Sheffield's The Moor Market have sent a letter to the Council demanding that issues within the market be fixed ahead of a proposed service charge increase next month. Traders say that these issues include faults with doors, disabled access lifts and lighting, as well as issues around drainage beneath stalls, which they claim leads to bad smells within the market.<br/>The traders also say that signage from shops which left the market “years ago” has never been removed.<br/>Sheffield City Council confirmed that it had received a letter on behalf of the group of traders, and that the market’s management team was now looking into the claims raised in the letter.
